Prensa is a Risk Management consultancy which services clients throughout Australia. The business has over 280 consultants working out of offices in most Australian States and provides a range of Risk Management services including health and safety, environment, occupational hygiene, hazardous materials and emergency management.

Prensa continues to grow our team of experienced Contaminated Land consultants, and we are looking for passionate Consultants to assist in delivering exciting projects across Queensland. 

Position Overview

Our Brisbane office (located in our newly refurbished office on the river in Milton) currently has openings for Senior Environmental Consultants, specialising in contaminated land management.  The successful candidates will join our South East Queensland team, which currently employs over 30 local consultants, and will be tasked with managing and delivering contaminated land projects across Queensland and Northern New South Wales.  Our teams will be servicing works to our existing clients and also to our growing portfolio of projects, including Defence, Social Housing, Councils and Energy Providers.

Role Responsibilities

  • With the assistance of our principal consultants, lead and manage contamination assessment and remediation projects.
  • Maintain and develop strong client relationships.
  • Liaise with regulators, contaminated land auditors, and local government to deliver positive outcomes for all project stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed reports and technical documents, including Contaminated Land Investigation Documents (CLID), assessment reports and proposals.
  • Strong resource management skills, ensuring projects are delivered on-time and on-budget, whilst retaining high quality.
  • Train and mentor junior staff, advancing their technical field and written capabilities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary education (Bachelor’s degree or above) in environmental science, soil/agricultural soil science, engineering, or other relevant field.
  • Minimum five years’ consulting experience, specialising in the assessment and/or management of contaminated land.
  • Detailed understanding of the relevant Queensland regulatory framework.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Project management experience is highly desirable.
