Work Health & Safety Consultant – Melbourne

Prensa is a risk management consultancy which services clients throughout Australia. The business has over 250 consultants working out of offices in most Australian states and provides a range of risk management services including Work Health and Safety (WHS), occupational hygiene, hazardous materials, environment and emergency management.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic professional with 2-5 years of relevant experience to join our Melbourne team.

The successful candidate will:

  • Work closely with other experienced consultants to continue to establish and promote the Prensa brand;
  • Maintain and develop strong working relationships with current and new clients; and
  • Deliver on projects in a timely manner.

Key Requirements

You will have a strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and relevant Standards and be able to apply these in a pragmatic fashion, relevant to our client’s needs.

You will also be required to deliver on various WHS projects in a team environment and provide mentoring and coaching for graduate WHS consultants.

You will have formal qualifications in WHS, such as a degree or post graduate. Qualifications in auditing (i.e. Exemplar Global) will be an advantage, and demonstrated experience in consulting across various industries would also be highly regarded.

Demonstrated experience/skills in the following areas will be an advantage:

  • WHS management system review, design, development and implementation;
  • Auditing;
  • Risk management and technical risk assessments;
  • Report writing; and
  • Training.

Candidates must have strong communication skills, a keen initiative, strong reporting skills with Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge, and current drivers licence. There is the opportunity to travel interstate, as part of this role.

This is a Melbourne based role, however interstate candidates are encouraged to apply if relocation to Melbourne is a possibility. Note that relocation costs will be the responsibility of the job applicant.
