The business has over 280 consultants working out of offices in most Australian States and provides a range of Risk Management services including health and safety, environment, occupational hygiene, hazardous materials and emergency management.

Prensa continues to grow our team of experienced Contaminated Land consultants, and we are looking for passionate Consultants to assist in delivering exciting projects across New South Wales.

Roles Responsibilities

  • The diverse role will focus on consulting in the field of Contaminated Land Management (CLM), including:
  • Project management;
  • Contaminated land, surface water, and groundwater assessments;
  • Environmental due diligence assessments;
  • Landfill gas monitoring projects;
  • Management of remediation projects;
  • Preparation of environmental management plans;
  • Maintain and develop strong client relationships;
  • Liaise with regulators, contaminated land auditors, and local government to deliver positive outcomes for all project stakeholders;
  • Prepare detailed reports and technical documents, including Preliminary and Detailed Site Investigations, Remediation Action Plans, Validation reports, and proposals;
  • Strong resource management skills, ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget whilst retaining high quality; and
  • Train and mentor junior staff, advancing their technical field and written capabilities.

How can I succeed in this role?

  • To succeed in this role, you should meet the following key skills and requirements:
  • Tertiary education (Bachelor’s degree or above) in environmental science, soil/agricultural soil science, engineering, or other relevant field.
  • Minimum five years’ consulting experience, specialising in the assessment and/or management of contaminated land.
  • Detailed understanding of the relevant New South Wales regulatory framework.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Project management skills, including engaging subcontractors, managing health and safety requirements, and invoicing;
  • A working knowledge of ESdat, ProUCL applications; and
  • Experience in GIS is beneficial.
